Greetings

Southern Miss fan here... just browsing through your posts. You know, I've got to say, after reading through some of these posts, we aren't so different. I think our fan bases might just get along. I especially like the SEC bias thread... Really hits home for me. (Not sarcasm)

Because of our geography, I'm sure most of you are not too familiar with our program. Just some quick cliff notes... We were one of the most consistently winning programs in CFB (18 straight winning seasons) until we ran into a shiteating coach (he who shall not be named) that brought us from 12-2 in 2011 to 0-fer in 2012. Since then, we've made a lot of changes including gutting our entire staff and starting from scratch. We are (hopefully) on the way back up. We may be in CUSA but don't let that fool you. We've beaten Bama, Nebraska, LSU, Georgia, too many mid level P5 schools to name, and won 5 conference championships when our conference was still legit with Louisville, TCU, Cincy, and Houston. Our motto is anyone, anytime, anywhere. But enough about that... I'm sure you'll get to know us soon.

Anyway, cheers to a good injury free game.

I hope for a good game full of Southern Mississippi players getting bent on half and knocked out for the next season.

First off, welcome to our message boards. You're about to enter lively forums centered around college football. We've created a place where people can relax and say what's on their mind without being banned and deleted. While we began as Washington-centric, fans from other Pac-12 schools spend time here and are welcome.

The majority of posters are very passionate (and some are quite eccentric) and that will show in the banter featured here. One military member stationed in the Midwest calls this place his "Internet Romper Room" and that's an apt description. The best advice might be to lurk awhile and get acclimated to the environment before posting. Given a little time, you'll "get it" and really come to enjoy this place. Before you know it, you might become a regular too.

If you have any questions or concerns at all, feel free to send me or the mods a personal message.

Thanks,
Derek

P.S. - If someone named IrishDawg22 contacts you with offers of advice and claims of having this placed dialed in, be wary.
Will I feel triggered if I go to that board? Is there a safe space I can go?
Also, this is actually the place where serious sports gets talked and the place to go for the latest husky news. For example this is the site to first break that our* WR coach was fired and the first site to break that our* starting QB would be the true freshman.

Fair enough, let me rephrase. We have our scout and rivals boards and some other small boards. Several years ago a group of hardcore USM fans got tired of all the sunshine pumping and rainbows when we had some serious issues with our program and formed an unmoderated board to post real info. We've broken news on coaching changes and recruits before scout and rivals ever picked up on it. However, over the years, it's morphed into more than just USM sports. There's good information but one certainly needs thick skin to post. Eaglepost.net. Check it out.

Yeah, that seems to be a common problem with the scout boards. Did your scout board have someone with a napoleon complex who liked to hold oversized footballs running it?

Nailed it.

Why pay a board nazi for outdated information? Then have posts flagged that disagree with his opinion but have truth? I feel you there.

I like this guy. He can stay.

For now.

Naming a school southern miss is almost dumber than naming a team the houston texans. Fucks wrong with you people

Is it true that Washington has some of the biggest Nickelback fans in the world?

That's Canada you backwater, illiterate, cousin-fucker. But solid first poast.

Now, LEAVE!!!!11!!

Ahhh....yes, I remember now. UW fans are the ones who wear Affliction t-shirts and Ed Hardy jeans.

See Tuscon, Arizona to get your Ed Hardy and tribal tatoo fix.

It's all Northface and birkenstalks here. Similar to the south many people wear ropes around their necks, but it is by choice and in the quiet of their home instead of your traditional block party.
