PM @dnc this the 2nd tuffest cuntry music live video of all time. All good cuntry music takes need smokey treats.

Seeing Jerry Reed in the video...Pretty good picker...
I thought for the longest time he was saying "Tippy Toe Louisiana"...

I voted for Waylon, but I like me some Conway Twitty. His songs are dirty,
Tight fitting jeans
Slow love makin
I see the want to in your eyes
Red neckin love making night

The 70's was when country was loosing the bonds of the Nashville sound and formula

Gotta go Waylon for his part in bringing outlaw country to the rock n roll kids. Nice meld. And he was in the Crickets

But country always wants to go back to formula.

Waylon's biography is the stuff of legend.

He survived the day the music died. Told Nashville to FO and won bigly.

King George can't touch Waylon's achievements. Come at me bro @Tequilla

So you're giving Waylon credit for giving up a seat on a flight?

Waylon's great ... King George kicks his ass in every other manner not pertaining to drug use

Waylon giving Nashville the middle finger and gaining control over his own sound and spawning the outlaw genre >>>> King George's being the leader of the neo-traditionalist country movement.

All for giving Nashville the middle finger … diversity in anything is great

Waylon’s great … you can argue that his high points are as high as anybody

I’ll give tons of credit when it comes to intangibles like sphere of influence … I won’t give credit for intangibles like huge substance abuse issues making someone a legend … in the case of Waylon it’s impossible to not say that his demons had a negative impact on his career

We’re likely splitting hairs here as anybody that doesn’t have both on a Top 10 GOAT list is probably idiotic

I hear her voice in the mornin' hour, she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
Drivin' down the road, I get a feelin'
That I should've been home yesterday, yesterday

Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads

I'm fine with King George in the top 10.

Waylon's hard living is part of what made him a legend. The rock star lifestyle ozees into so many of the songs and gives them soul.

Lulz. I just sexted @swaye like 60 mins ago that "West Virginia, Mountain Mama" was probably the best lyric in the history of popular music.

You put Waylon and Willie together, and they are the absolute best Cuntry Music has ever had to offer. Luckenbach, TX is as good of a country song as has ever been recorded.

After a “walk on the beach” for perspective, I have discovered perhaps the perfect song to summarize my musical tastes…
Artist / Writer: Waylon (connected to Buddy Holly)
Song Subject: Bob Wills
Name Check: Willie, Tommy Duncan
Borrowed Lyric: Doug Sahm (“You just can’t live in Texas if you don’t have a lot of soul”)
Cover Version:

Got so drunk so many times singing Luckenback TX at the top of my lungs.

I change my mind. The GOAT lyric is the only two things in life that make worth living, is guitars tuned good and firm feeling wimmin

I often run across pictures of Texas in the 70s. This place kicked ass. Wish I could’ve been here.

Who made this poll? @YellowSnow ?

CHRIST.

Waylon, Willie and Johnny fucking Cash.

OK, too be fair most of Cash's recording career was in the 60s and 80s. But still ...

My GOAT song.

(Not as popular as the others, but gets me right in the feels. And 80s)
