Skansi played through 1982
There was a point where I seriously thought about writing a book about his life. Even had brief exchanges on email with Wilson family members. His life was bittersweet and compellingWildcat Wilson - Wikipedia
George Wilson was a halfback. Died of alcoholism alone on a dock in SF. Nothing changes.

K/P who cares? How could you.A chat broke out about the greatest Huskies of all time starting lineup - but what about a roster that looks like a full college roster/depth chart. I'm including what seems like the tight normal amount of scholarship players at positions. Starters on top. Let's go!!!

A lot of good choices there. I would have to include both Chris Polk and Bishop Sankey in the RB depth, Fautanu somewhere on the OL, and would find spots for Donald Butler and Marquis Cooper at linebacker. Not much else worth quibbling about thoughA chat broke out about the greatest Huskies of all time starting lineup - but what about a roster that looks like a full college roster/depth chart. Maybe you can write something shorter than a book and find buyer for it (not sure how that game is played)… I don't remember seeing much on Wilson but 60 years ago everybody agreed he was the greatest Husky according to the news. There was a point where I seriously thought about writing a book about his life. Even had brief exchanges on email with Wilson family members. His life was bittersweet and compellingWildcat Wilson - Wikipedia

He had back surgery after junior seasonThat's what I remember too but I was young. Does anyone remember why he didn't go until the fifth round?forgot about benji olson Best uw guard of my lifetime. Absolute mauler.
Casey Paus could not reliably throw beyond the line of scrimmageNow someone should do a worst of depth chart. Maybe it will be me, but my memory doesn't go back past 1990 so it would be a biased list.
42-14. Paus gets a pass for that performance alone.Casey Paus could not reliably throw beyond the line of scrimmageNow someone should do a worst of depth chart. Maybe it will be me, but my memory doesn't go back past 1990 so it would be a biased list.
I never thought about the possibility of Reggie and Stevens together in 2002. That team probably goes 9-4 instead of 7-6I wanted to make it close to reflecting an actual roster so had to make some tough cuts. Here's some players who were really hard to cut.
QB - Sixkiller, Billy Joe Camaro
RB - Polk, Sankey, Steele
TE - Conwell - I'll note that Jerramy Stevens gets bumped down a lot for his legit terrible character stuff but he was easily the best TE I've ever seen at UW. He was like bigger, smoother, tougher ASJ. Guy could have been like Gronk if he wasn't a sketchy psycho and it's an underrated bad break he basically missed all of 2001. Imagine him and prime Reggie in 2002.
OL - Need to note I absolutely just forgot to include Fautanu. Greatest OT in my opinion is between him and Big Linc
DE - Seems like this wasn't a very important position prior to like the 90s? There's not many important Huskies before then.
DT - Danny Shelton, Dave Pear
CB - Kevin King, Kyler Gordon
S - Same as DE - seems like this position wasn't very valued prior to the 90s
I'd be interested to see how this roster stacks up against the rest of the Pac-10 over the years. My assumption is USC would clear it easily and it would be close around UCLA. Stanford could be sneaky as a program that consistently seems to have singular great players.
Yeah, Stevens was only a sophomore in 2000 then basically missed 2001 other than the Holiday Bowl so that was the one game he played with Reggie and Reggie took a big leap from 2001 to 2002.I never thought about the possibility of Reggie and Stevens together in 2002. It would basically be a compilation of rosters under Willingham & Sark with some Gilby mixed in and possibly some WRs under Pete. Now someone should do a worst of depth chart. Maybe it will be me, but my memory doesn't go back past 1990 so it would be a biased list.
