Thomas Crown Affair (I’m partial to the Steve McQueen one, but don’t mind the remake)

Sneakers (great ensemble cast, and one of the first movies that did a technology/computer plot well)

Out of Sight (peak Clooney and J.Lo - find your own pics)

Out of Sight and Jackie Brown are really the only two good movies based on Elmore Leonard books, which is insane, because he wrote so many great books...most of which got turned into mediocre movies.

 
Other than the ten or so minutes of the street shootout, Heat is boring as hell. Pacino has played better cops (Sea of Love and Serpico) and DeNiro has played better criminals (Godfather and Goodfellas). For all the THEY'RE BOTH ON SCREEN TOGETHER! hype, it was pretty underwhelming.

Most of the stuff with Deniro and his crew was entertaining. I agree that most the Pacino shit was boring, especially the stuff with his wife and step daughter.

It's something I've been ashamed to admit for a long time. Bottled it up one might say.

I think die hard counts. So die hard of course.

When I heard Ronin was coming out I couldn't wait to see it. DeNiro and Reno was going to be epic.

But I thought it was good, not great. So many ways it could have been made better.
