That’s not a solo. It’s a riff.Does the intro to Money For Nothing count?

I was so close to suggesting this but then spent the next several minutes deciding between Blue Sky and a few others, primarily In Memory of Elizabeth Reid, which is my favorite song by them. That goes on for too long though and has solos all over the place to the point that the lines between are blurred.@Southerndawg approved take here…
Allman Bros "Blue Sky" is on Mt Rushmore rather easily AND wins going away for best dueling solos.
Duane Allman at 1:04
Dicky Betts at 2:39
Duane > Dicky, but still both are legends.
Also an interesting study of guitar amp. Duane was using a 50 Watt Marshall Head vs Dicky's 100 Watt Marshall. So Duane tone has a little more grit, overdrive to it.

Something must have been his maiden nameBellThe guitar solo for Whiskey in the Jar

Free B was great but remember they did the same solo every time I think, no improvisation… maybe somebody did stretch out originally in this one (didn't listen too long)Skynyrd @ Knebworth UK 1976
Word has it Mick was furious they have to follow them and told the festival directors The Stones were gonna walk if they didn’t get the boys of the stage. Race was there….True?

Great solo but kind of suffers from the too obvious of an answer thing and constantly being really high up on every list for decades now.Comfortably Numb is pretty legendary
Stones were spent as a live act by 1972.Skynyrd @ Knebworth UK 1976
