Too many riffs to do this exercise by decade. Moving forward will break it down by year.

Use our Ai overlords, bud!I don’t know the difference between a solo and a riff and apparently even if I did it wouldn’t matter.
Mark Knopfler intro to Money for Nothing is one of the greatest RIFFS of all time.I don’t know the difference between a solo and a riff and apparently even if I did it wouldn’t matter.
I missed the 1970 part and was confused why it wasn’t included. Fuck me, reading comprehension is harder than understanding guitar terminology.Mark Knopfler intro to Money for Nothing is one of the greatest RIFFS of all time.I don’t know the difference between a solo and a riff and apparently even if I did it wouldn’t matter.
You got me, boss. And I even own the album. I will be putting it in 1971 with a Roger Maris type asterisk. The single was 71. The album 1970

it’s a pretty tasty blues riff.I’m lazy and as I look through the list, I’m looking for which songs I like best which even then is difficult.
Roadhouse got my vote here because I heard the riff in my head.
I agree the results are skewed. I strongly considered American Woman. If I were voting 100 times I'd have picked American Woman 40 of them.American Woman, as used in Austin Powers 2 (I believe) is a totally badass song with a killer riff. You all are crazy.
Tough bracket here. American Woman wins a lot of year but it's going up against one of the great Beavis type, iconic riffs of all time that started and entire genre.I agree the results are skewed.
