Worried 'bout u…Layla
Nope. I wasn't.If you remember the when the 60s stopped you weren't there
There are 30 or so riffs that are good enough for this, or I could have done it by year. This must've been a tough list to make. I feel like you left a lot out, but it's a tough one that I wouldn't have taken on.
It's Day Tripper from this list though. I Feel Fine would've also sufficed.
I thought Black Sabbath came out in 1969 so I spent a few minutes trying to to pick the best riff from that. Probably just stick with NIB as it's the most iconic. There are 30 or so riffs that are good enough for this, or I could have done it by year. This must've been a tough list to make. Day Tripper is 1A Beatles for me with I Feel Fine as 1B
You missed the lead.3 cultural ends to the 60s
January 1969 Nixon takes office
May 4 1970 you can get killed for protesting. (white division)
January 1972 the draft is mothballed
Or Heartbreaker. I could have gone either way.Best riff from 60s Zep is Whole Lotta Love.
House of The Rising Sun should be on the list.
Not even close to the mark, Pal. No Beatles rip off here whatsoever. That Yardbirds riff is a complete ripoff of a Beatles song, I just can't remember the name of it...I am not a Beatles guysm, but I know most of their stuff in general terms.
I guess there's a slight similarity but I'm not hearing it the degree you are. Way different tone, tempo, progression, etc.Very similar, IMO. First thing I thought of when I heard the Yardbirds tune was "I Feel Fine" by The Beatles.
Agree on both.60s riff
