He did Country Music and The Vietnam War.
Truman was great. Same with Adams. Almost everything he wrote was essential. The Path Between the Seas (Panama Canal) and the Brooklyn Bridge books are outstanding.
On a side note, The Bridge by Gay Talese is a really good read

Though Liev is probably my GOAT simply because of the disparity between his narrator voice and his acting voice (Ray Donovan particularly) and he mostly does sports stuff.
