A twinge of regret for shunning Elvin (and Mickey), but I’ve always had a sneaky soft spot for my vote…

Listened to all these tunes on KJRB 790 AM with Charlie Brown in the AM. Sunshine Shelley in the Valley Volkswagen Good Time Thing on the tail end of that.

Not that shit when he moved to Seattle and teamed up with Ty. Legit solo Charlie Brown.

KJRB also had a fucking amazing basketball team who would travel around to schools and do fundraiser games against the teachers. Ringers featuring a bunch of former Pac 8, Big Sky and local legends with a couple DJs thrown in. Charlie Brown was one of the DJs throw ins.

Shout to Pattison's roller rink where I popped my first boner during a couples skate during come and get your love.

Brandy still holds up well

Brandy is on my Mt Rushmore of one-hit wonders.

I've played that track on so many hot, drunken summer nights yachting on Lake Union.

Free and on my own

The way I used to be

Then I met you baby and loves got a hold on me

Ok, Steve Miller gets my vote... maybe he isn't a one hit wonder and is somehow in the rock hall of fame [not sure why really] but his one hit wonder song Joker was the genre defining [hence my vote] anthem song of the then just emerging gay club bars as they became popular dance venues in the early 70's

I'll grant that sometimes we have some one hit wonders in these that had perhaps a couple of decent sized hits. But whatever anyone thinks of Steve Miller's artistic merits, he's nowhere near "one hit wonder" territory. The dude had 2 or 3 albums full of bit hits.

ATBS, Joker kind of has that one hit wonder vibe.

Not much, but I loved Abracadabra when it came out. It was young Chuck's intro to Steve Miller. It all went downhill from there though.

You had me at "popped my first boner."

Also, Injuns kicking ass and taking names.

A song with a great story can’t be beat

Two that you're definitely missing here:

"Baby Come Back" by Player

"Magnet & Steel" by Walter Egan

I take it you’ve listened to yacht rock radio on Sirius XM a couple times?

Yeah, there's a lotta yacht rock that fits here. I think I got most of the heavy hitters though.

A summer favorite … particularly on the golf course

Mine too but yeah you have to give it a break because they regurgitate the same tunes. The guy doing the promotional voiceover is the best.

Please tell me you wear ear buds or at least keep the shit low enough that only you have to hear it on the golf course.
