True Teq Story:

My Dad is a huge Lightfoot guy and had a 2nd copy of Gord’s Gold ... so I put in in my CD rotation during grad school (I’ve been listening to Lightfoot since my early teens)

One of my best friends in grad school was the definition of a small town West Texas dude and we used to drive a ton of places and Gord was often in the CD rotation ... particularly once I realized that the CD “whipped him”

Fast forward to the present and last summer he sent me a video of him driving his boys around and listening to Lightfoot and “whipping” his kids

I was so proud
 
Carefree Highway let me slip away, slip away on you.

I slipped away on carefree highway 112 out to Neah Bay for a few days and came back with a cooler full of rock fish, ling cod, and halibut.

Listened to some Lightfoot on the way back to my place from Shelton.

Listened to some Metallica, too.

My musical tastes are like that.

Not sure how you can hate on Gordon Lightfoot. And I'm pretty prone to hating on people.
