Good article on blue chip recruits sitting early in their career

This is undoubtedly what we are going to hear more and more about over the coming years. I think people don’t realize how much of a shock it is to go from being recruited heavily and dominating and everyone kissing your ass to carrying the seniors’ shoulder pads.

Most players go through this unless they start as a TFR. They all doubt themselves and they all think of leaving if they aren’t starting as freshmen and sometimes they do even if they are. It’s an important thing to realize for us but it also helps put in perspective when Tom Loy says that Kyler regretted his decision. I’m sure at some point he did. I’m sure at some point this last season he felt he should be starting or that he wasn’t good enough, etc.

pay for an account with the Athletic to read that or watch Pele on Netflix and you'll get the same story but with a more interesting 2 hour movie.

What did I just not read? That alphas at Alebaba second guess their decision from time to time? The Dawgs have other fish to fry like securing TE’s.
