They’re both likely to underperform. And that’s the mark of a program that doesn’t want to play for championships.

Another data point: Clark Lea is doing well to quite well at Vandy (SEC) and he had never been a head coach previously.

I would prefer any successful HC, any level, for sure. Eck would be solid. I could still get excited about a hot coordinator hire. Jamarcus Shepherd could legitimately get me fired up if OC, D (keeping Walters?), and staff are bangin'. It's all relative. Shepherd could get this place buzzin' and he's a great hire for Beav. Even Kirby Moore could do things for me in the right cicumstanch. I'm easy.
We're so fucked if Fish leaves, man.
