Doogs actually brought his name up as a legit candidate.

I had forgotten about him until I saw he was calling the Meeechigan game.
 
Lighten up ... he was tight with Butler Cabin ... you know, just like Fresno's legend, Pat Hill.

Si, he was w/ Kanass in the 90s IIRC. He did a good job getting them to a decent level but he never stood out as a coaching must get.
 
Mason took Minnesota to the Sun Bowl twice where he went 1-1 against Bellotti

Yep.

I will forever remember him for managing to give up 31 points to John Navarre and Michigan in the 4th quarter to lose 35-38 while rushing for 454 yards at 8.0 ypc with Barber, Maroney and Abdul-Khaliq

I am pretty surprised he never got another job after Minnesota though. For a couple years there in the early 2000s he was in the discussion for big time jobs.
