Get Paid over $500,000 a year being a City University of New York Professor...

Why yes, yes I do.

Back to the point, do you think it is ethical for a professor to collect over a half million dollars every year in retirement? Do you think a system like that needs to be changed or left the same?

...IN RETIREMENT!!!!!:

To me, that is unethical and immoral....sticking regular taxpayers with these enormous pension bills.

Do you understand how pensions work?

Hondo thinks the professor paid all that into his pension

But, but, but think of all the money this obviously brilliant and talented man passed up over the years. He no doubt could have made millions in private industry. Instead, he chose to labor his whole career for substandard remuneration...

Did you even read the article or stop at he headline?

"His pension is based on 1.2 percent of his final salary for each year before 1970, 1.53 percent for each year after 1970, and accounts amassed with investments of his own and city contributions."

Most retirement plan contributions are 3% or so. Not to mention he built the fund for 55 years. And if the fund is fully funded each year, the money is in an account. And he'll probably die much earlier than his account would be drained.

I would say the taxpayers did quite well in this scenario, less than 2% of his salary each year.

But go ahead and get riled up cause you are jealous you are still in your boner filled sweatpants in mommy's basement.
