Germie Bernard in the portal

Hmm, I'm really nervous about the 85 scholly limit preventing talent acquisition. All those 85 kids have contracts, you know, and can't just up and leave when better players show up.

So Kim's trying to woosh? Or being wooshed? I'm probably being wooshed trying to find the woosh.

Kim was being a condescending asshole to some posters who questioned if UW might go after Bernard. Essentially saying "why would you ask such a dumb question."

A few minutes later, a 247 recruiting guy came in and gave info that was the complete opposite of what Kim was suggesting

Thanks. At face value that's what I thought. But I've learned that taking things at face value in here is risky.

Midwest 247 guy says he's likely headed back to UW

Id be surprised if we took him

DeBoer likes him

Didn't he show up to campus, move in for a day or two, then leave for a better NIL deal?

Why would DeBoer want him back after that?

If I was DeBoer Id say fuck off

That's what a loser program (aka peterman) that didn't care about talent acquisition would say. Fortunately our ball coach is a serial winner and dont give a fuck.

Because obviously he thinks he can help them win And is better than any other potential add to the roster. If he had better dudes lined up he wouldn’t take him.

For all of DeBoer's successes, recruiting is still an area of concern. Not surprised he'd leverage the existing relationship with Bernard to get a "4 star" recruit. He's looking for advantages where we have them.

I disagree. I think it sets a bad precedent.

We want dudes who shit gold and piss purple. Give me SEC transfers, not soft B1G transfers

I bet you he doesn't end up here. And I'm usually right.

You do realize he and Rome are tight?

I don't give a fuck.

WR is the least of this programs concerns.

DeBoner needs talent and he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who wants a roster full of guys with their foot halfway in the portal 24/7. I say give the kid a chance, he was smart to leave a Jon Don Tecmo Bowl offense and he would be smart to return. I don't think Germie is a paper tiger 4* he will be good

I think he's pretty damn good though. Not as dynamic as McMillan or Odunze but faster and bigger physically (not taller) than the other WR, including Polk.

From his perspective UW and MSU were going in opposite directions with them coming off a good season and then shelling out 9 figures for their coach. UW dragged itself to a hard to watch 4-8, fired it's coach, and hired some nobody from the Mtn west.

Now he's showing good judgement by leaving that obvious dumpster fire.

If you agreed with all or part of the above, would you really not give him another chance? He may come and finally find the right fit.
