I always played with guys where we were as much about playing as a team than anything else in terms of screens, passing, helping on D, etc

Our biggest motivation was that we hated to sit out after a loss

I never could stand playing in games where it was a rush to see who could jack up the most shots

Easiest way to win pick up games is to let the Kobe wannabe jack up mid range jumpers.

Dudes at the IMA love jacking up 25 footers ... particularly back in the day when everything was a 1 ... go for it and take a bad shot

Could have potentially earned his son and himself bags by having him go to *any fucking Pac 12 school* but he just had be one of those annoying douches that vehemently defends Seattle pro teams while hating the local school. He was supposedly on good terms of Adams but then goes around proclaiming that no one wants to come to Washington? What a fucking loser.

Nope

I was never dumb enough to think that my own individual skill was greater than it was ... never was my game. I've always been the sum of the parts >>> sum of the individuals type of player.

The only thing I ever really cared about was winning. I hated leaving the court ... particularly when there was a long wait if losing.

My tea-bagging took place early when Davis was #1 in the state. Shag and I dueled to a 48 point total. Shag had 32, which was a shitload pre-three point era and the fact they had to stop the game after every made shot to take the ball out of the peach basket.

So got tea-bagged and torched repeatedly. Good tims. Good tims indeed.

Last organized game was a couple years after your advanced age. Stupidly jumped in front of a guy and took a charge. Ended up at the hospital with a concussion after head met floor. Had to be early onset of dementia because what fucking 39 year old takes a charge in a rec league game? Hell, I didn't do that at age 17.

Trying to slide in to take a charge in a pickup game is no bueno ... different if you’re just standing your ground when someone comes rolling through the lane out of control

I once got a pretty bad high ankle sprain because someone was trying to defend full court and take a charge ... wanted to punch the idiot for that one

Since we are on the tea bagging story. I literally got tea bagged on an alley oop from Aaron miles to antone jerrell from Jefferson when I was in high school. I had no clue what was going on when miles stopped like 40 feet from the hoop and put up what my dumbass thought was a shot. It wasn’t and nuts flew across my face en route to a thunderous two and tomahawk dunk. Csb I know.
