Just saw that on the X. Surprises me he buckled, unless Trump insiders privately told him to go quietly into the night.
 
It's a damn shame that a generous guy in his mid-thirties can't gift thousands of dollars to teenage girls without people reading something untoward into it.
 
Not sad to see him go. I thought the nomination was pretty questionable. This is looking more like a coverup to prevent having the House ethics report on him released. Trump guy gets the nomination, resigns from the House, bows out of the AG nomination a week later. No information is released from the report. Sounds kinda swampy to me.

Trump won the election and earned the right to push forward his own nominee.

But guys…surely you can find a better candidate that accomplish his goals without pushing forward scumbags like Gaetz to the number one law enforcement officer in the land. It’s mind boggling to me that we’re not on the same side on this one.
