Gadzooks! I figured out the MacMillan injury thing

In the Pac 12 Championship game, it's late in the fourth quarter with the Huskies down by three points. Jalen MacMillan suddenly enters the game for the first time and lines up wide left. The ball is snapped, he takes two steps and collapses to the turf, Terrance Ferguson-style. Meanwhile, QB Michael Penix has taken the snap and flipped the ball to the motion man, Rome Odunze. Odunze sprints left like it's a jet sweep, before he pulls up and throws to a wide open MacMillan, who had suddenly sprung to his feet and ran all alone down the left sideline. Odunze's throw was right on target, as MacMillan hauled it in and raced with 4.4-40 speed across the goal line for the go-ahead touchdown. "We've been preparing for that for eight weeks," Washington offensive coordinator John Grubb said after the game with a shit-eating grin and subsequent guffaw.

Sadly, the TD is called back by P12 refs for being “deceptive “.

This. If the refs don’t understand it, it’s a flag.
