You had to be high to make it through that steaming pile of shit @booker14 . No album splits Yella critical opinion like The Wall.

You've got like 5 or 6 classics of the genre, and then a bunch of meaningless, self indulgent shit. It should have been a single LP.

Leave the rock operas to Townshend.

The Wall doesn't completely fall to shit until after comfortably numb. I agree it could've been a great single LP if you pared down the first two sides to make room for a bit of side 3.

Dark Side and WYWH work so much better based on being single LPs. Plenty of room to stretch out with all the faggy, prog rock stuff, while still remaining good front to back.

Brick in the Wall is too much filler and not enough killer.

Album music awesome, cover art trash. Shame on Zeppelin as they are HOF with most of their album covers, especially with their record deal that allowed album cover excess such as exhibited with the LZ3 spindle, the “Physical Graffiti” apartment window cutouts, and most famously the “In Through the Out Door” brown paper bag.

So i had Houses of the Holy vinyl sitting out this weekend and my 8 yr old son says, “Dad, that cover is inappropriate!”

He didn't get enough credit for this one. Usually my go to when I feel old and want to wallow in it.
 
Probably the crown jewel of the Neil Young Vault. Neil invented "unplugged" and the acoustic Down by The River rival the original.

Agree. But sonically speaking, this is one of Neil's best sounding recording.

I mean you can literally hear a member of the audience fart between songs.
