I'm old enough to remember when one loss would ruin your season in college football.

Most years being a one-loss P5 conference champ is enough. Every single year being a no-loss P5 conference champ is enough.

Special year in CFB. So many great teams very evenly matched. A great year for a 12 team playoff. Frankly we got a better draw by it being only 4 this year. However going forward I love the new format. It will allow us? To play for championships almost every year.
I find it ironic the Ducks used to complain about how USC and UW could stash away so much talent on the sidelines. I recall them being ecstatic when the scholarship total was limited to 85 in the early 90's. I lived in Portland at the time and was told UW would never dominate the P-10 again. Well, everything's come full mother fucking circle Whoregon. NIL and the portal have brought more parity than any Duck fan ever wanted. Phil Knight, Nike and ESPN can't protect you anymore and UW buried the shitty Pac-12 by dominating WHORGON. Good luck dealing with your resurrected irrelevance.
