I get this but I'm talking proven and developed talent and the TBS rankings aren't always a good indicator of the actual developed talent on a roster. I used to do mock drafts for a site so I still check the consensus of them (and yes I know they're super flawed) but this is the first year I've seen almost no Alabama players dominating them. Someone else pointed it out but I also don't think they did well in the portal compared to similar programs. I also wonder if they might be feeling some effects of Saban not being as good o fa portal recruiter as comparable programs as well.

I'm not sure exactly what's being debated. It just seems to me that for like 15 years going into a season Bama would have like half a dozen projected first round picks and this year they have arguably zero.

I think there's something to this. That freshman WR is ridiculous, but they're not stacked all the way around as they've been several times over the last 15. I think that's true. But they have more than enough with which to compete at a high level. So, both views can be kinda right here.
