Fuck Vanilla!!

Site has a 3 post per hour rate so far.

Compare to BBChuskyOU812.com at 9112 poosts.

Just setting the floor. It's still early

I still prefer dialing up to the local BBS ( bulletin board system ) on my commodore 64 to shitpost.

But seriously, upgrading from Vanilla to XenForo is a huge upgrade.

Man fuck, even old ass vBulletin was better than shitty ass Vanilla. I dont know why you moved the domain to community.forum. I get not wanting to host your own server, you could at least have the person maintaining your forum have it point to your domain. for example: forums.hardcorehusky.com/threads would be better

You're not paying XenForo directly right? I assume you have a middleman who's paying for a XenForo self host license who's hosting it themselves.

So when I came on earlier the browser on my pc warned me about entering, had to pick advanced settings and then proceed at my own risk to this dangerous site… I think it’s a good idea to maintain that status… it’s like a speakeasy door

I was delighted

To do that I think you need to monkey around with your certificate, should be easy for the tech grinders around here

Yes because the SSL certificate it returns does not match. its going to *.community.forum and not *.hardcorehusky.com.

I used to have a doomsday gif with cross bones that multiplied on the screen with a timer that counted down from 10 like your system was getting hijacked… that would be a good front page to complete the concept

All you have to do is hit enter to then enter the site…$

What? Not at all. I have always owned the URL HardcoreHusky.com. I am paying XenForo directly. Long story made short, my IT guy says he has done everything we were supposed to do with rerouting the domain. Apparently it takes up to a few days to work its way through the system and then XenForo will send me an email saying they are issuing the SSL Certificate. Given that my IT guy is in the USA and XenForo is in Europe, I am seeing that sometimes there are time delays with communicating back and forth. The Europe guys also take weekends off while Vanilla to their credit had a weekend staff.

Anyway, as far as I can tell, we should be running smoothly very soon. But this neverending saga has had holdups at every turn, so who the hell knows.

But as soon as the SSL certificate is issued, then this site will be back on HcH.com, and then I've got a list of about a dozen other tweaks I want done to the site to reduce clutter and make it look the best possible.
