He is/was quintessential college football boiled down to one single coach. Unapologetically himself. Always hilarious. Benevolent weird uncle vibes. Won at multiple “unwinnable” places. His air raid concepts changed the game forever too. Stoops. Riley. So many other coaches cite him as a major influence.

I’m sad.
 
I can’t really add much to this discussion, other than to add to the many other posts saying how sad this is and we’re losing a football icon.

They broke the mold when they made him.
