Clempson and Michigan were somewhat outliers in the recruiting natty = natty world, but they still had fucktons of NFL talent. UW and Oregon and TCU making the game at all is a super duper outlier, and that happened in large part because we? played in the, at best, third least shit conference(s). The 7th to 8th best TBS classes in the B1G won't land any team in the playoff but once or twice a decade, with great coaching and portal luck. UW had great coaching and "portal luck" and lost. Ugga beat TCU 65-7. Oregon had the Heisman trophy winner behind center and got blown out by Ohio State with a fucking 3rd string QB.
