Everyone of those cops is a F’n *itch. Just like they were with the Antifa/BLM BS in NYC. Just resign you worthless asshats.
Cops are nominally under control of the Mayor/City Council. If the cops are told to step down and give the mob room to riot, that's hardly the cops fault. If they do make arrests and the DA refuses to charge them and the rioters are released to riot again, I don't blame the cops if they just stop making arrests. Recently, a number of antifa/BLM rioters have been convicted and sentenced in Portland. Everyone I've seen is in federal court and were arrested by the US Marshalls and charged with federal crimes when they were protecting the federal court house. These are the same US Marshalls that Trump sent in that Mayor Ted said weren't needed and he personally went out to protest their presence.
Cops that are requirred to enforce mask mandates under the specific direction of the mayor and Chief of Police are in a hard place. This isn't dragging kids off to the gas chamber. Anyone getting into the cop business in a major dem city is now not going to be the best and the brightest. It's now a union job and just keep your head down and draw a paycheck. Not worth getting bricks thrown at you and if you use your night stick your job and your freedom are at risk. Police chiefs across the US have quit/retired because of the BS they are required to enforce and all the actual crime they are told to ignore. County sheriffs in red counties are pretty safe in not enforcing state mandates from blue governors. That's not true in cities like Seattle and Portland.
