Freshmen and sophomores winning Heismans

It really bugs me and I don't exactly know why. I just grew up seeing guys who were juniors and seniors win it, and for the most part pay their dues.

I hate the freakin' Heisman. It is just a symbol of everything that has gone wrong with college football over the past decade.

And the fact that 11 of the last 12 winners have been QBs makes it even more of a joke.

I don't even remember who won the Heisman last year.

That is an interesting point... Tebow... Manziel... Bush... Leinart... Palmer... Some Alabama RB... Crouch.. Jason White... I really don't know anymore... I should probably have a better recollection of the winners if it was a meaningful award. I definitely have become disinterested in it over the years...

Suh was maybe the most dominant interior lineman I've seen since empterman, him finishing fourth in 2009 spoke volumes about how dumb that award really is

Ever notice how your disinterest of certain things in college football follows the direct timeline of the UW AD's disinterest in UW football? Or is that just me?

Dan Patrick had a nice stat on how the guys who finish second have far better NFL careers. Not sure if there is any actual causation
