All the radio play wore me out regarding Frampton. May have to revisit.
I read that like you spoke it through a talk box....
Frampton was post mega rock mid 70's schlock at the time and as pointed out was worn out on the radio. But a lot of folks liked him so there is that
Had Frampton Comes Alive on Eight Track. Didn't replace it after the machine ate it. Enough said on that.
That was the point.
This version on the Midnight Special cracks me up. No one in the audience is into the talk box.

I remember the Fred Meyer in Overlake had their record store section covered in Frampton posters as a little kid. My mom then had put it on KJR and tell me that was the guy who could make his guitar talk. My mom was awesome about introducing me to rock music at a young age
