Good writeup! My first college party...I was a junior in high school (fall of '92)....and went to a Halloween party after Stanford game I think it was...at Trevor Highfield's house. Drank Jungle Juice out of the kitchen....Ewaliko showed up....I had the media guide memorized from our drives up from Portland and it was a Who's Who showing up at that party it seemed. Good times.

I hung out three times with them, maybe four. I didn't really get along with Cantrell and Mike Starr. I showed up at their house with a woman that Starr really liked, and he seemed to resent my presence.

I got along really well with Layne and Sean. On one occasion Layne and I went to 7-11 in Des Moines, bought some stuff, sat on the curb talking all kinds of philosophy and whatnot, and I was thinking "this guy is pretty deep." And then we went back to the house (where the party was going on) and within minutes he was on the floor lighting his farts on fire. (so much for deep).

I also just realized that in yesterday's article I didn't mention that Layne died from a drug overdose, but I am assuming 81% of our readers already know that fact.
