For anyone questioning Giles and his play

Giles Jackson has the ability to make plays. Without Rome or McMillan he’s performed in games and put up numbers. He has the ability to get open. This play is a clear example of him running a precise route, Penix throwing the ball before Giles even makes a cut and the speed to out run a pretty good corner.

From the stands he seemed to need a ton of coaching as to where to be in formations. I get that he was pushed into service, but it seemed to slow us down at times. Happy to have him, I hope he uses 1st team reps to sort it out.

DeBoer talked about that and explained that it was due to personnel changes and unfamiliarity with the grouping and presnap movement. should improve with some practice.

From my vantage point the only criticism of him has been questioning why he was returning kicks when he ran like he was wearing cement shoes. Never was there an issue about him being a possession receiver

Jackson is fine and has always been a solid option when open. It's just that he doesn't do anything better than you'd expect from a competent receiver on a good offense. He's good, but he's replaceable.

This is what I saw too. One play he was looking at the oregon sideline for the entire play call. Not sure if he was trashing talking or just forgot which side of the field our bench was on.
