Fisch is the only guy that could have brought a roster with him. Absolutely the best near-mid term hire imo. Leipold is an amazing coach but is 60 and wouldn’t bring guys. Fisch has the best shot of getting our good portal guys and incoming class to stay also imo. This was the right hire to keep the program from dying regardless of the long term success.

Florida was a lot more concerning at $5 mill than $9 mill

It still could happen, but one thing is for certain

if he leaves he leaves, that’s the game now and we literally wouldn’t have a team next year if we didn’t hire him.

It is a crucial juncture to capitalize on the momentum from the NC run.

Next year is huge. Going to a new league of a natty run, it must be a strong year.

He probably sucks.

Then again, winning 10 games at Arizona is probably more difficult to do, than winning a national championship at a football school.

Just give him a 4 year deal. We will know if he needs to be fired after year 3. His buyout better be at least $30 million. $50 million if he leaves for Florida.

I sense a bunch of 7-5/8-4 years with this hire. Not that exciting, nor fun hire.

I was dooging for Pete Carroll but that was likely a pipe dream. Fisch isn't without his own set of concerns -- namely, if he doesn't portal half the AZ roster for next season we won't have enough guys to play.
