Roughly every 3 weeks now we need to have an emotional 'Dear Diary How Come I'm a Soft Fan Now?' thread.

DeBoer is an elite (offensive) coach. Nothing's changed with him. He's only ever won anything while at Washington. He's still Michigan's bitch though, so he has that going for him.
Fisch has a career losing record and lost to DeBoer
I'm impressed
Career losing record, lol yeah. People on this bored suck off anyone that can win 7 games at WSU after 4-5 seasons but somehow Arizona is a sleeping giant?
As much as you think I'm carrying water for Fisch my opinion is the same as it's been for Petersen the quiet quitter and DeBoer the cuck that would let Saban rail his wife in a heartbeat:
Washington football will be here before and after these people. After a 2 4-team CFP's and a 14-1 season it's clearly still here after James.
The main gripe has always been that we aren't playing the game due to Upper Campus directives and even with an elite coach we'll be fighting over Idaho State's table scraps.
And after it's been shown that we are clearly playing the game now as much as anyone (maybe DeBoer fired up the boosters, not sure), now we've moved on to some other pussy grievance(s) that has fans from Oregon and Penn State who have been kicked in the nuts so many times that it's just puss mush down there laughing at us.

My main gripe is they lose elite coaches and then suck for 5 years
But let the @haie flow
I've never wanted any coach from WSU. They suck
Dillingham beat DeBoer and then almost ruined the dream season
But what do I know

No even TUFF, drunken Swedes from Snohomish County?

Losing DeBoer was a crusher from an optics standpoint and that's why I think Washington got their shit together and realized that they can't just stumble ass first into a big dick and then just ride it out like, "Hey, this is winning stuff is fun!"
Look at Penn State, their support and how many times they've been soul-crushed. Their best shot to win the title, in the first year they even MADE THE FUCKING PLAYOFF at kiddy pool 12 team format, they lose to some feel good story fucking tryhard Notre Dame team.

You're starting to get me fired up for this season.

You've never been the one to do that with WSU but I don't think that the Pac 12 writers who follow every team really closely were just making shit up when they talked about how shitty of a job Arizona turned into. They were as bad as any of the worst Colorado teams from that era, that's why they had to go take some assistant quarterbacks coach from an NFL franchise that never had a true need for an assistant quarterbacks coach.
I will admit here that Jedd's 10 win season had some scheduling luck and 2 of his 3 losses he really didn't have any business losing with that team.
But the UW "Upper Campus" move would have been to give up and take the Kansas coach which would have been a retard's idea of how to replicate the DeBoer hire.

@haie we agree on the important stuff. We want to destroy our enemies and fuck their women in front of them. The details can be argued but your passion is real and I respect that

Feels like 2022-23 energized the fanbase and we may be figuring out our NIL shit and can turn the table on there from making it a weakness and into a strength. Jedd was the best hire we realistically could have made and I feel like he has the right vision. He got a QB attached to him who looks like a real playmaker in a conference where all but a few programs historically roll out stiffs.
We have to dig ourselves out of a hole though and it's really hard to get yourself back up the mountain in college football right now. If we fail I feel like it won't be because we did dumb and lazy shit like in the past.

If we manage to beat tOSU I'll be all in on the DAWGS in 2025. Yeah college sports is weird now but winning cures all. I know who Demond, Coleman and Boston are and will figure out the rest if they're good.
I am in on the CAPS right now and will be on the Commanders, probably. Other sports are background noise.
It is worth noting that it is a non-Olympic and non-World Cup year (not even Women's WC) which makes the slow stretches of the typical calendar seem even slower and easy to disengage from all sporting events.

Jed needs to win a road game especially in conference asap and wsu on the road. 3-2 at a minimum or tarmac him
@WSU @Maryland @Michigan @Wisconsin @UCLA

Dillingham never beat Deboner. It was the temp guy after Herm. I think he’s coaching HS now. Deboners biggest blemish

I'm not sure I could name five players on the roster. The turnover because of NIL is ridiculous. I hope Tennessee saying no to their quarterback is the beginning of the end of this nonsense.

Echoing what others have said, sports aren't doing much for me. I think I watched fewer than 20 college basketball games last year.
The breaking point for me was coming to learn the women's college basketball players get paid more than WNBA players.
If that's not a sign of the coming apocalypse I don't know what is.
wnba players get paid?

Endless scissoring part of the collective bargaining agreement.

They would get more if they didn’t hate on their cash cow. If the wnba was smart they would have pushed to get Clark on the Olympic team in Paris and the their subsidized league would have drawn even more fans (mostly women) to their sport. Imagine Tiger being shunned by the pga and other players when he generated a large increase in prize money and endorsements.

Don James never won 14 games in a season
But he did win a Natty game against Michigan with a non generational talent at QB.
Billy Joe was an absolute gamer and never lost a game at UW. What he did or didn’t do in the pros doesn’t matter. One could argue Tui wasn’t a generational qb but he was money at UW.
Glad to read Race is leaving a little space that Fisch might succeed. I believe Jed’s player acquisition is better than our previous coach and DeBeor was a top 3 college coach at UW. I give him full credit for his success here but outside of Penix he didn’t build the foundation meaning most of the team’s contributions came from Pete’s talent evaluation and acquisition.
IIRC, DeBoer couldn't recruit.

I don't know where Bama's class is right now but the multiple "I only wanted to come here because Saban was here" type of stuff that's been out there probably isn't helping.
Neither is the fact that their NIL is just a couple thousand small business owners that haven't seen their dicks in 30+ years.

Third time is a charm?
