--- Carta-Samuels seemed to be the sharper of the two quarterbacks today. He was accurate during the 7-on-7 period, starting it off with a nice throw to Pettis and an easy toss to Perkins over the middle. Renfro probably had his best catch of the day on a pass that Carta-Samuels threw to him near the left sideline, as the freshman hauled it in and kept his feet in bounds.

In fact, Carta-Samuels completed his first six passes before firing one a little too high over the middle and into the hands of walk-on defensive back Hayden Schuh. That was the only turnover of the day.
