If they have their goal line D in then put 4 or 5 WR's to pull more defenders out of the box. Then run it. I think going zone read and Russell keeping it (Lynch as a decoy) was the best option.
 
Remember the KC game? this playcall was 100x worse than that. Bevell is retarded but we all know that. Carroll is to blame here for letting this situation repeat itself.

I get the fucking logic, and if you look at the development of the play ... in theory it works.

But fucking Christ. You have Marshawn Lynch ... who has fresh legs and damn near broke it the play before.

That's total bullshit. That's Pete being a leader, like Bevell should have been instead of throwing Lockette under the bus. No fucking way that guy ever gets a head coaching job in the NFL. That's piss poor leadership. You'd think he'd have learned something from Carroll by now. Fuck that guy.
 
Pete took the heat... That's what a good head coach does. No excuses. He has turned this organization into a powerhouse and develops talent like no other. Who the fuck is Chris Matthews? Take the fucking heat and move on.
