Fiesta Bowl

Does it bug anyone else that they're slumming again and taking Boise Beauty School? I know, there's probably some ridiculous clause that forces them to, but maybe not. They're a fucking 20th ranked Mountain West team. Go play in your trash Humanitarian Bowl, New Mexico Bowl, Foster Farms Starving Bowl or some other shit tier bowl. Leave the good bowls for real teams from real conferences.

Make some prissy 9-3 SEC school come out west and play Arizona 130 miles from their stadium. The FB payout is way more than the Citrus, Outback, or Gaytor Bowl. Oh, you don't like doing that? You only like it when you play close to home with your defacto home games in Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Orlando, Jacksonville etc.? That's what I thought.

I find Arizona only being favored by 3.5 points very suspicious. Figured they'd be laying a TD at least.

The highest ranked non power 5 team gets a guaranteed New Years Six berth is my understanding. Which is ok by me. I think this could be a fun matchup.

The Fiesta Bowel was forced to take Boise as the best Group of Five champ. I don't think they are very happy about it either - very "meh" matchup for a NYE/NYD bowel

It's a matchup worthy of the Holiday Bowl

When we went from the BCS to the CFP, there was an agreement that at least 1 team from the Group of 5 would make at least one of the New Year's Six bowl games.

So every year, you'll see a Boise State, a Marshall, a Northern Illinois, a BYU, a Cincinnati, an East Carolina or someone in the field... and they'll almost always be going to the Fiesta or Peach.

A two loss Boise shouldn't be in a BCS bowl, but the times are changing. There are other good match ups in non BCS bowls.

Meh. I must be the only one that thinks this is the P12's most vulnerable bowel game.

Whether CP turns out to be Nick Saban or Dan Hawkins doesn't matter. When it comes to coaches, BSU just reloads and doesn't miss a beat.

I am rooting for Zona because I don't want to be right about BSU. But I sure as hell wouldn't put my money on them (AU).

Sure a loss to AF (10-3) looks bad (for BSU) but Arizona has not been impressive since beating 0regon (save the territorial cup win).

The betting line of Zona minus 3.5 is spot on according to Sagarin who is very accurate at the end of the season.

That blows

Soft matchup for the Pac-12 in a major bowl. You should be thrilled. Can't wait to hear about how Arizona won and the SEC is OVER-RATED. Clap clap clap clap clap.

The last three Fiesta Bowls I went to I got tickets for $10 a pop right before kickoff and just went and sat in the 20th row.

The Fiesta Bowl is always a shit game.

Over/under is 5 for the number of times the announcers use the term "Scooby Snacks" in their cock-gobblin man-crush praise for Mr. Wright.

University of Phoenix should be favored by 6-8 IMO.
I bet some on the over the total points. I think this will be a shootout.

I'm cheering for the same team as my man, CP, on this one.

This game has nothing to do with Boise State. Arizona just sucks. One fluke win over Oregon is the only reason they're here.
