He's not allowed to play given he's facing the charges, just back in school and allowed to practice.
There's been such a clusterfuck with the conduct board and appeals process that all recent suspensions throughout the university are likely being overturned.

As I read it, Prosecutor has a chance to get a non-felony plea deal by Friday, putting the kid back onto the field to bolster his NFL draft stock so that the kid he hit and took his six pack from ( who may have deserved it) can collect on in civil court later?
