On it's own tomato soup doesn't win, but add in grilled cheese and it comes out just ahead of clam chowder.

Yeah a few times. Pretty much a staple once the weather turns. Nothing like the extra garlic broth before a 3 hour movie.

Close call between milk based and Manhattan style, but I live me some clam chowda.

Close runners up would be a spicy chicken peanut or my homemade sausage, wild rice, and whatever else I think of to add.
