Ramen from a good Japanese shop is easily numbah one for me. A close second is clam chowder made with heavy cream, bacon and lots of Dungeness crab.

I don't have time for clams while muscles and oysters exist but Anthony's clam chowder, and sourdough bread with fresh rosemary is a whole other thing.
 
Lentils can go fuck off, but I like all those soups on the list.

I keep the crab shells from when I go crabbing and boil them to make a stock. Then I use that to make a chowder with either razor clams or littleneck clams. It's pretty fuckin good.

Fuckin yum. Seems like a good use for those coho and pale meat, coastal chinook too.
 
Campbell's Cream of Tomato soup made with cow's milk and a side of Saltine crackers crushed up into the soup was a winter staple as a kid. Still my favorite although I always order the clam chowder when dining out

And now I make the tomato with Almond milk of course
