I disliked Bruns because everything about him was a doog myth. Hard working, reliable, gets open, great hands, steady, etc. Bruns had 23 receptions in his entire career despite getting a fair amount of playing time. Fetters actually said Bruns could be UW's version of Wes Welker in Bruns' senior year when it was evident to anyone who watched the games that Bruns was not any good.

Bruns was anything but reliable. He never got open. It seemed like almost every time we threw him the ball it was an incomplete pass with a DB draped all over him. If he ran great routes, he would be open. Ripping Jermaine Kearse or James Johnson was fine, but to doogs, Bruns was off limits and had all sorts of excuses made for him. "He's not used correctly, his dad died (so did Kearse's), Sark likes big WR's, etc." Those fucking morons actually wanted Bruns to play over Kearse after Kearse dropped a few passes. Bruns is a case where he would not have gotten 1/10th of the love if he was black. The great fucking white hope.
