It's not only tax dollars there are hundreds of billions in consumer dollars. Corn ethanol mandated in US gasoline. State energy mandates for dirty expensive renewable energy cause massive increases in electricity prices.
As long as you acknowledge that you don't think it is worth it and we should just do nothing.
