Fairly confident this week

Going into this week, I'm fairly confident we have what it takes to win. Reasoning (not 5, can't infringe on Damone's gimmick)

- ShawFS will stubbornly call iso runs right into Danny Shelton over and over again.
- The Tree only have one outside threat that scares us, and a QB who is not a dynamic thrower. Match up Peters to Montgomery all game and I think the pass D will show well this week.
- Reasonably coached Special Teams play won't spot them a bunch of points like last year
- Ross back (in theory) returns the threat of the deep ball, opening up more lanes underneath for our Kellen Moore arm strength qb.

I like the Huskies to the tune of 24-13 ish here. As always, LIFPO, but it'll be nice to defend a team who isn't going to chuck it 70 times a game on us.

If only Miley had half of Kellen's accuracy, we might be on to something. But he doesn't. He fucking sucks. And yes, this is just my opinion of him:

Ross didn't play b/c of the opponent ... pretty sure same for Riva. Would be shocked if one of them didn't play this week ... particularly true considering that we have a bye next week.

We wont run on Stanford, Miles cant beat them with his arm... we are going to get spanked. Cajuste, Montgomery and Rector running free all day? Goodluck. If we win special team battle, be +2 in turnovers and Shaq gets a ton of carries, we have a chance. Stanford leading nation in defense doesnt help either

Cajuste. Of the Coney Island Cajuste's?

It's not as funny when I do it.

Sark ran the ball down Stanford's throat, the same Sark team that was stonewalled by BC. That is also a Sark offense I'm talking about. It will be a low scoring game but to say we can't run on Stanford is flat out wrong.

Agree about Stanford's WR's. Montgomery, Cajuste, Rector, and Hopper (TE) are going to be a tough match up. Hogan's better than some think too. I think it will be a close game. We will likely need the defense and special teams to win this one.

Peters can match up with Montgomery and Jones has better size than Ducre did to match up with Cajuste but Cajuste is a RS-JR and Jones is just a frosh. Can Baker match-up with the speedy Rector? I don't really trust Dixon when playing more than a few snaps.

Miles had a good throw over the middle in the 2nd half when Charles, Tanigawa, and Atoe didn't let guys collapse the middle and / or let blitzing LBs get in his face. Miles didn't look all that great throwing on the run though but having a guy back like John Ross would make a lot of QBs look better.

Ben Riva coming back would be ideal because, while Shelton was decent in subbing, he is still young after a RS year (IIRC, he was only 17 when he enrolled) and Riva is more of a force in the running game.

I'd also like to see Darrell Daniels get more looks in the passing game. He could be a match-up problem for 'Furd's LBs. Even though they have the #1 D, Stanford's front 7 doesn't appear to be as imposing as years past...they are lighter on the DL and they used to have taller LBs like Trent Murphy (6'5" and Chase Thomas (6'4"). Even Shayne Skov was listed at 6'3".

Stanford leading the nation in D is misleading. They've played cupcakes (USC included). I'm not saying they have a bad defense. Don't be a twister.
