This was outlined in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020 (Public Law 116-93), Division D – Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2020, Sec. 532 and re-affirmed in each year since, including Section 527(a) of the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2024 (Public Law 118–47)

A favorite of mine from then is how the Dems were claiming there was shit smeared all over the walls, and yet not a shred of evidence that happened. Video of Buffalo guy being escorted into the Senate chambers by two cops and asking another guy if he’s OK exists, though. Doesn’t matter, prison!
Some guy put his feet on Pelosi’s desk after being escorted to her office, though, and a grandma with cancer was carrying a USA flag in the rotunda after being escorted inside by police. Doesn’t matter, prison!
What a fucking joke of a set up crisis. The nationally televised hearings were a fake rip-off of the McCarthy hearings, which actually had truth to them.
