This position is beyond ridiculous. It stems from the same line of thinking that led the Pac-12 to cancel the 2020 season while the SEC and Big 10 kept playing.

I say this as an alumnus, UW is part of the problem. Woke as hell, starting at the top. I feel very lucky to have gone during the era I did, it was still essentially a meritocracy in academics and sports. The football program at that time generated more revenue than the Seahawks, and most of us laughed our asses off at the left wing fringe elements there at the time. Now those idiots are running things and the school is an embarrassment.
 
Pretty sure since they went with the word "Chief" in his title, the plan is to infect him with an equal amount of syphilis and small pox in a non inclusive HR setting.
 
It is a silly role, but I was hoping my search did not get a hit on "brand." Wrong.

I completely agree and am holding out hope that moving to a REAL conference will force UW to toughen up.
