Actually embarrassing how bad this cops officer safety was. Bad guy was rehabilitated.
 
People always love to second guess police officers drawing their weapons early, but I’d say this is a prime example as to why you. Keep your hand on your holster when approaching a suspect. You just don’t know.

Glad that the offender was properly rehabilitated and learned his lesson.

Stolen cars get a felony stop. Covered and then ordered out at gunpoint after back up arrives. One doesn't walk up and expose your weapon to a suspect while you're looking the other way.
