Because I have half a brain and remember what the movement was all about. It's a god damned shame this board has lost the identify of why this community formed in the first place.

Not quite sure what this critique has to do with the specific shitpost in this thread but I'll bite. And I'll preface it with you have alwyas been one of my favorite, classy, quooks so I'm not trying to attack you here so much as understand what in the actual fuck you are talking about.

What exactly are we not being true to? I admittedly haven't been around much the past year or so so I may be missing significant context but as another with half a brain who was here not that long after the beginning I would sum up the founding mission of this place (and by extension the HHB movement that preceded it) as follows:

1. Providing a place where you could safely criticize UW coaching/admin (and those who blindly supporth them) without fear of "timeouts", banning etc.
2. Providing a platform for those who believe UW doesn't have to settle for mediocrity because of "the damage Ty did" or probation or scholarsip limits or insert doog excuse here. We believe it's okay to expect and demand excellence and that UW is positioned to be able to provide a football program that competes at the highest levels if it so desires to.
3. Creating a site where you could "let your hair down" (LATER GUYS!), have fun, shitpost, not censor yourself, take the gloves off when someone said something stupid, etc.

Again, I haven't been nearly as active as I once was so maybe things have changed and I've missed it, but don't think any of these things are no longer happening. Per number two specifically that battle has been irrevocably won. UW has proven through Petersen's playoff appearance and moreso through KDB's title game run that we were right. We were always right. Excellence is possible at UW.

What aspect of HHB ethos is taking a "Tim for the D Word" shot at Owen denying? Like literally what could be more HHB than having fun with a dynasty claim from one of our rivals? What are we even doing having this conversation in this thread?

We've got a coach who sounds and acts a lot like past coaches who have buried us and put us into mediocrity purgatory. Some haven't handled the ups and down or got lives and moved on, but seems the same.

What's hard to understand? Joey made some nonsensical post about me posting here. I post here because of the movement. I post here because fuck Ernie Kent, and Nick Allioti, and Don Pellum, and Mark Helfrich and Meatwad. NOBODY here calls out the hay, bill, broadcasting doog morons. It's antithetical to the reason this community exists in the first place. And I know how life works. Things that become successful ultimately become corrupted.

Props for owning your call on Penix, I don't remember you saying he was going to suck but that would have been fun to bump. I was certainly too optimistic on Rogers (didn't think he'd be Nix) but I still don't know how much of this abomination of an offense is really on him, how much is on Jedd and how much is on the OL (most of it, I think).
