Even Mello couldn't argue with this

Was listening to Ari Hoffman and he said people keep asking him why the Israeli citizens didn't have guns

He said they do but these were border areas with fences and troops and people thought they were safe

The illusion of safety

There was one Kibbutz where the Israelis came out shooting and no one got killed or captured

Hopefully a lesson learned

2020 should have shown that depending on police is also an illusion of safety

The people in Maine had an illusion of safety, too.

Israel was historically a heavily armed society. Recently they took away midst of the guns. You could apply to have one and could get a pistol and 1 box of ammo. That didn't work out so well.

2020 should've convinced everyone that our government is corrupt, tyrannical, and FUBAR and that it's better to have guns that be a sitting duck.
