Ethan Liming stomped to death over water gun

Police said Liming and his friends drove through the city during the evening on June 2, smoking marijuana and shooting people and objects with a soft gel gun. The plastic guns fire a capsule that is filled with water. The capsules often cause pain and minor irritation.

Liming’s friends pulled into the parking lot and drove directly to where the Staffords and their cousin, 21-year-old Donovon Jones, were playing basketball at the school, which is operated with help from the LeBron James Family Foundation. Liming and his friends began shooting them with the gel guns.

Deshawn Stafford approached Liming and attempted to take the gun away after being shot in the face. The two began fighting. His brother and cousin joined in the fight.

Liming died when his head hit the pavement after being punched in the face, according to authorities. The medical examiner ruled his death a homicide.

According to the medical examiner’s report, Liming’s injuries included “relatively superficial injuries to the face, torso, legs, arms and left hand.” It is unclear if all the injuries occurred June 2, when the fight took place.[/i]

Going around shooting a gel gun at people is clearly quite stupid. After stomping him to death the two individuals stole his car. I’m not certain death by stomping was the appropriate response.
 
The victim shot the guy in the face with a gel pack water gun (?). That’s assault and the resulting punch is justified. The fact he fell and hit his head is accidental. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

As someone earlier said, swap the races around and see what happens. They were not defending their lives against the kid.

I guess if anyone that was shot by these guys had retaliated and like accidentally killed them (just like accidentally), it was all like justified and shit. Right guys? Or would there have been rallies and unrest over a racist death?

I actually do see both sides here. Depends on when the fatal blow was struck

Wouldn't disagree with that except "The three men beat Liming to death and later bragged about it to friends. According to reports, Ethan Liming, whose father is a pastor, tried to calm the situation in the parking lot when he got jumped and hit in the head from behind. The suspects broke his neck. We learned from the police report that the suspects took Liming’s car and prevented his friends from driving him to the hospital. It was later reported that the attackers broke Liming’s neck and Ethan Liming had a shoe print on his chest when he died. The killers stomped on him so hard they left a shoeprint on his chest." [/i]

There is no way to justify this. Those punks should be locked up.

You're probably not wrong. Unfortunately, particularly in blue cities, our law enforcement and legal systems are broken. It has never been easier for angels like these to avoid legal accountability.
