Bottom line is that the system as it is is going to leave a P5 conference champion out each year. The Big 10 was absolute dog shit this year but they are in the Final Four.

Until you get to a position where all of the P5 conference champions are in the picture at minimum, the system is still ridiculously subjective.

Ohio gave them an out last night and they took to it faster than Damone takes to a line of blow while cruising up/down I5.

Taking TCU out of the Top 4 allowed the Committee to save face and move Baylor ahead of TCU without it having any implications. TCU was the better team and CONSISTENTLY the Committee stated that. They have now set the precedent that in tie breaking situations they will look at head to head results. Of course, until that doesn't fit the #script because that logic has been used very inconsistently throughout the history of college football.

And then Baylor added a quality win over K State while TCU added a win over the dreck of the upper midwest. Baylor's resume improved, TCU's didn't. You can argue whether or not it was enough, but the committee was very clear all year that they weren't playing the "you only drop when you lose" game. They were moving teams up and down week to week based on the changes to their profiles. Baylor's improved at the end, TCU's didn't.

Beating Wisconsin 59-0 isn't sneaking in.

The real disgrace is that the conference with ONE TRUE CHAMPION has "co-champions". If the XII had balls, Baylor would be its champ and might get in over tOSU. That conference deserves to watch the playoffs from home.

Boobie, if the big12 had balls they'd have a conference championship game. Did you notice the pattern of the teams' picked?

Bowlsby is already at work doing just that. The big12 will not be left out again as I expect a CCG next year. Ultimately that could hurt Washington should we win the pac12 down the line.. No way texas or Oklahoma (should they become dominant again) gets left out as a CC should the decision come down to CC Washington.

the committee will bend the rules to allow a 10-team league to have a CCG.
