“VX passports if you want to go to a restaurant but no ID should be required to vote in an election”
ID to check out a library book
ID to get a fishing license
ID to get a driver license
ID to get on an airplane
ID to open a bank account
ID to apply for welfare
ID to rent a car
But no ID to vote in a national election
The idea that Voter ID laws disenfranchise people is absurd, unless we are to assume that those same people are also completely unable to participate in any of the above activities.
we give out free ID cards to homeless people, but for some reason it’s racist and disenfranchising to require people to show the ID when they go to vote.
Free ID cards now available for homeless people in WA
If you’re against voter ID you are against fair elections, full stop. I fucking dare any of the board mush-brains like @HuskyBuck @MelloDawg @HHusky to argue the contrary.
