Eason to Georgia #TBS

Every year the NFL draft is littered with 2* and 3* guys while many 4* and 5* guys aren't even considered as UDFA's.

When will some of you begin to realize 'star' value is assessed in large part by analysts and experts that never played or coached any sport, anywhere.

Peterman's track record suggests he doesn't give a fuck what Kim or Ruth or Lemming think.
 
And 4* LB Humphreys picked Duke over UW. Methinks things will get a little chippy over on the dawgman recruiting bored. They long for the days of "exciting recruiting blogs". I'm sure Km will chime in.

Humphries is a 6' 200 lb great white hope with a torn ACL. Hardly a loss. We need legit 6'-2 225 lb freaks show's from Compton at linebacker.
 
Christ guys it is fucking July. These players still have a whole season of HS left. LIPO, remember how many early commits Sark would get just to lose in the end?
 
It goes with saying that we do our best to call a spade a spade. If UW goes 8-5 this year (with that ridiculous schedule) I will be seriously questioning whether Petersen is the right coach for us.

Disagree. As good as Petersen is it could take a year to flush the Sark out of the team. If a 8-5 record this year is followed by another 5 loss season in 2015 I'll be concerned. But it won't be.

With the easy schedule and talent on this team, going 8-5 would be a fucking disaster and is unacceptable.

8-5 with this schedule would be really bad and would most likely mean a 4-5 conference record. I wouldn't call for Peterman to be fired, but it would curb my enthusiasm.
 
If Petersen doesn't win it is door.ass.out.

We are all little excited with Petermans track record and rightfully so, he has earned that.

Difference between here and doogman is we won't be making excuses if he goes 7-6 consistently. We will gladly admit we were wrong about the hire and that he needs to LEAVE!!

Look at Petersen's track record of getting these non star guys to the NFL. As someone stated too if he starts winning he will pretty much get whoever he wants on the west coast.

He still has plenty of time to wrangle Eason back in. Who knows though maybe he isn't a OKG. Losing the linebacker hurts more.
 
Have these doogs never heard of Tate Martell? The fuck do we need Skinny Eason for?

But that line is right up there with WDWHA as justification for losing recruits. It relieves coaches from responsibility for losing players they should get. It's saying " nothing we could do about it"

They fact is many players get offers to Stanford and accept at other schools. Jake locker included.

What I am saying is that I will never fault anybody that values that kind of education and makes the decision as much for what happens in the classroom as on the football field.

This is also a prime example of why TBS is so ridiculous in the first place. If you look at recruiting in a vacuum of each and every kid, then you get bent out of shape at things like "this is right up there with WDWHA justification" ... if you look at the class as a whole, keeping in perspective who was lost and signed, then you stop worrying about shit like this random LB from California that decided to go to Duke.

The reality is that still very few kids that go to college to play football will make it to the NFL and even fewer will have long-term NFL careers to the point that their college education doesn't matter. I will never criticize a kid/family for making a decision that accounts for that. It's what I would do if I was advising my kids. It's what I did in advising my brother.

I don't fault/critisize any player for whatever they chose. I fault the coach for not getting the player.

If you're really picking Stanford for the education, you shouldn't be playing football.

You simply throw out trite sayings and don't hold the coaches accountable. That's a doog move.

I might not fly off the handle as much as maybe I could, but I've got absolutely no problem saying what needs to be said that is also uncomfortable.

And you're fucking dead wrong about an athlete not being worried about their education. Even for the best of athletes, you're done with your career between the ages of 35-40. You've still got anywhere from 25-35 years of a life left to figure out what to do with. And if you're really that damn good, that means that you've got yourself in a position where having a great education will actually be far more valuable than that person ever thought about when they made the decision to get it.

The idiots that pick whatever school, don't pay attention in the classroom, and then are fucked when their athletic dreams don't pan out, they can end up joining you at Lowe's.

You missed the point..completely. I bet your also against war, but support the troops. Profiles in courage statements that people use to not actually say anything, but attempt to portray themselves in a specific way to others.
