Interesting (or not) little nugget popped into my head while listening to the first part of the Podcast this morning driving into work ...

Washington was a WR in HS ... which means he's not a natural RB and needs some coaching up to maximize his potential.

Who was Washington's RB coach in 2013, his first season on the field?

Enough said on that.

I didn't think Thomas coached Sankey? Wasn't he gone for the 2012 season? I know he would have coached him prior to leaving, but not as the starter.

There was someone on that staff who knew how to coach a RB and/or get the most out of what he had.

Polk and Sankey were studs ... but nobody would have guessed Sankey was as good as he ended up being.

Joel Thomas is a pretty good coach. Besides Polk and Sankey, he now has two 1000 yard rushers in the same season at Arkansas. Not bad considering it's against all of those tUff! SEC defenses.
